The January thaw of the last week has given us a false sense that spring is on its way. A cold front pushed through overnight and has brought with it a heavy dose of reality!
The morning wind chills over the state have started in the single digits and teens, but conditions will rebound with lots of sunshine and lighter winds by afternoon.
A stronger front will barrel through Wednesday night bringing the coldest air since early January, and it may turn out to be the coldest weather of the month! Fortunately we are in a pattern where these chunks of Canadian air slide in and then quickly release their grip. Temperatures should rebound quickly by the weekend. We may see 60's by Sunday.
Another cold front is forecast to move through early next week.
The pattern we are in keeps the gulf air well to our south so no significant moisture is showing up the next 10 days. Fire danger will continue and elevate with the windier days!
