MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -- Two teens were shot multiple times at an anti-violence event in Midwest City around 6 p.m. Sunday.
The incident happened at a park at 8500 E Reno Avenue. The event coordinators were upset because not only were they there to promote non-violence, but there were many young children at the event and playing in the park.
The two teens, ages 19 and 16, were taken to an area hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.
On Monday, the 19-year-old remained in critical condition and the 16-year-old's condition was improving, Police Chief Brandon Clabes said. The teens' names were not released.
Police are still investigating the shooting, but have arrested Alfred Fraizer, 17, Del City, on a complaint of shooting with intent to kill, Calbes, said.
