The Haskell County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Person of Interest in connection with a double-homicide investigation in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The Sheriff’s office says they learned that the individual, Richard Alan Ross, was possibly in the Keota, Oklahoma area on Saturday and located the victim's car outside a residence in Haskell County. Both the Eastern District United States Marshal’s Service and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Tactical Team were asked to assist in the arrest.
Ross was arrested on Sunday without incident on a parole violation. According to deputies, several items relating to the homicide were recovered along with the victim's vehicle. Ross had an active warrant for violating probation by cutting off his ankle monitor, according to HCSO.
Ross is currently in the Haskell County Criminal Justice Center awaiting extradition back to New Mexico.
