Students at Tulsa's Eisenhower International School honored veterans during a special assembly Tuesday.
During that assembly the school also honored World War II veteran James Carl. Carl received the French Legion of Honor medal.
It is the highest award from the French government and honors veterans who helped liberated France during World War II.
