Tulsa Police say a man is now dead after being hit by a vehicle at 71st and Union around 9:20 a.m. Tuesday.
A woman in her 60s was driving northbound on Union when a man standing on the southeast corner of the intersection darted into traffic, authorities said.
The driver stayed and talked to police after the accident about what happened.
Police initially believed the 38-year-old was killed on scene, but later said that he had life-threatening injuries and was sent to the hospital.
Police gave an update on Thursday that said the man was pronounced brain dead the day of the accident, but passed away around 9 a.m. Thursday.
Reports say he was kept on life support for organ donation. The Medical Examiners office took possession of him Thursday.
The man's brother told News On 6 the man was trying to get to a job interview when he was hit.
