A woman riding her bicycle through an east Tulsa neighborhood was hit by a car around 2 a.m. Sunday, June 4. Police said the driver of the car didn't see the bike and ran into her in a neighborhood off 31st Street on South 101st East Avenue.
Both the driver and cyclist were northbound on 101st.
Officers said the cyclist rolled onto the hood of the car but is going to be OK. She was treated for minor injuries in the back of an ambulance but not taken to the hospital.
Police said the car was going the neighborhood speed limit, but the driver got a ticket for failure to yield. The cyclist did have night-riding gear, News On 6 was told.
