Police are looking for a driver who killed a man who had fallen onto a Tulsa street Thursday night.
Officers said the incident happened in the 7800 block of South Riverside Drive just after 11 p.m.
Police identify the victim as Patrick Abili, 35. Sgt. Stephen Boyes says Abili and his girlfriend were walking northbound on the shoulder of Riverside when he apparently suffered a medical seizure and fell into the road.
He said a white car struck and killed the man. The driver didn't stop.
"More than likely, we would have interviewed and released him and unless some kind of mitigating circumstance developed later on, probably would've just been get your information, get your story and we'll get back with you later if we need anything else," said Sgt. Stephen Boyes.
He says the couple were headed to a nearby apartment complex after shopping at a local grocery store.
Police are now looking for the car and the driver. They are asking anyone who was driving by at the time or knows about the incident to call Tulsa Police's Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
