Firefighters say residents of an east Tulsa home made it out safely after an overnight house fire. The fire broke out just after 5 a.m. in the 2700 block of South 121st East Avenue.
Fire Chief Dale Cooley said a man woke up to flames and smoke at the back of the house near a fireplace. He woke up the other residents, and they all made it out unharmed.
Cooley said his firefighters were checking for hot spots and investigating the cause of the fire.
