The Tulsa Black Officers Coalition hosted a car seat check up for area parents on Saturday.
The Tulsa Police Department and the coalition teamed up for the event at Lacy Park Community Center.
Instructors performed safety checks on car seats and showed parents the proper ways to install them.
It's the 15th year they've offered the program.
"We want to show the community that we do, do other things in the community except -- you know besides, stopping cars and writing tickets,” Det. Corey Myers said. “You know, we care about about what goes on in the community."
Car seats were also available for sale for only $10.
