Bicycling went off-road on Sunday at Mohawk Park with the state's championship Cyclocross races.
Cyclists competed in the "Rock The Mohawk" race.
Cyclocross is a combination of mountain biking and road biking on a cross-country course.
Riders had to get off their bikes and carry them through several obstacles, including a sand pit and up flight of stairs.
Rider Ben Watkins said cyclocross is becoming more popular in Oklahoma.
“Over the past few years I know it's grown a ton just in participation, and more and more people want more races and more and more races are being put on," Watkins said. "I thought [today] was awesome. It was really difficult. Perfect weather for 'Cross' -- 60 degrees, can't complain."
Another race is set for January at Newblock Park.
