Transformer Fire Knocks Power Out In Northeast Claremore

Police say an electric transformer fire knocked out power to a large area of northeast Claremore Tuesday morning. 

A police dispatcher said the fire happened at 6 a.m. near the Will Rogers rodeo grounds. Claremore Electric workers were dispatched to make repairs. 

City officials say power has been restored.  No word on what caused the fire.
