Tulsa Police: Report Of Man With Gun Was Actually Man With Bible

A report about a man carrying a gun outside an east Tulsa motel was a false alarm, according to police.

Police got the call to the Economy Inn of Tulsa in the 1000 block of South Garnett Road at about 1 a.m. Thursday. Officers found the man, but he wasn't carrying a handgun. Police said it was a Bible with gold leaf on the edges. 

EMSA took the man to the hospital. Police said they did not arrest the unidentified man. They believe the man may have had mental issues or was under the influence of some type of drug.
