A simple wish was granted Wednesday, when 86-year-old Sarah Sievert got a head-to-toe makeover; for her is was more than a new outfit and haircut, it made her feel special and appreciated.

It was all part of a program called Dream Chasers and it helps seniors cross things off their bucket lists.

Wednesday was all about Sarah Sievert. At 86 years old, she has the soul of a person 50 years younger; and her simple wish was for a makeover.

“Oh my goodness, I never dreamed this would happen to me,” Sievert said.

Thanks to students at Clary Sage and people at Heatheridge Assisted living, her dream became a reality; and after a day of manicures, pedicures and haircuts, it was time for the big reveal to her family.

Family traveled from all across the state to check out her new look; and Sievert's daughter could hardly believe it.

“She tries to take care of everyone else and it was time for her to be put first. It was her turn,” her daughter said.

Sievert's sister, Irene Carter said, “If I had met her on the street I would've thought who is this? She's so pretty.”

"They mean everything to me, they're so good to me,” Sievert said.

Sievert also found out that her friends at Heatheridge plan to nominate her for Miss Senior Oklahoma.

The Dream Chaser program tries to help any and all seniors they can. For Sievert's big day, it was doable thanks to people donating their time and services.

The next dream chaser recipient at Heatheridge will get to ride a Harley; they're still working out the logistics on that one.
