A Tulsa Police officer was involved in a shooting that left a 19-year-old man dead, TPD tells News On 6. The shooting happened at about 9:16 p.m. in the 200 block of North Maybelle Avenue.
An argument led to the shooting which took place in the street outside a home, according to Officer Demita Kinard of the Tulsa Police Department.
The victim and shooting suspect knew each other but were not related, she said.
A man and woman came up to the scene saying the victim was their son and that he was trying to defend someone, but that has not been confirmed by police.
The home is located near Owen Park and Interstate 244.
