The University of Tulsa men's basketball team scored big today with some Tulsa elementary students.

The team is taking part in Operation School Bell, which provides new clothing for children in need through the Assistance League of Tulsa.

The players helped the children pick out new clothes and shoes on Wednesday.

Operation School Bell not only helps boost self-esteem, it's also an effort to improve school attendance and performance.

"It feels good," forward Brandon Swannegan said. "I mean, just being out here, being able to give back and being out here with the kids and seeing their faces, it's priceless."

The students also received hygiene kits and books.
