Man Injured In Tulsa Apartment Fire

A man was taken to a Tulsa hospital after firefighters found him while investigating an apartment fire near 71st and Sheridan.

A man was taken to a Tulsa hospital after firefighters found him while investigating an apartment fire near 71st and Sheridan.

Tulsa Fire got the call at about 2 a.m. at the Eagle Pointe Apartments. They found the man lying on the floor of his smoke-filled bedroom with 2nd and 3rd degree burns.

After reviving the man, EMSA took him to a Tulsa hospital.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

About one hour later, Tulsa Fire was dispatched to the Casa Linda Apartments on East 62nd Street near Peoria.

Three residents were able to get out of the apartment before firefighters arrived.

Fire officials say there was a small electrical fire in the apartment's ceiling. Smoke from the fire also caused minor damage to two adjacent apartments.

The Red Cross was called in to assist at least five people displaced by of the fire.

No one was hurt.
