According to News On 6 Meteorologist Alan Crone the first part of the severe weather will occur in western Oklahoma.  He says the Thursday night and Friday morning threat will mainly be confined to the central and western third of Oklahoma.  The threat will move to eastern Oklahoma Saturday and Sunday.

Crone says on Saturday the storms may hold off until late in the afternoon or early evening because a layer of warm air aloft may act to suppress storm development for a while.

He added that once storms do form, they will become severe with large hail, damaging winds, and the possibility of tornadoes.
