Christian Group Drops Suit Against Owasso Schools

A lawsuit against Owasso schools was dismissed.

Kids for Christ filed a lawsuit against the district last fall, claiming it wasn't allowed to promote its events like the Boy Scouts, YMCA or other groups.

Kids for Christ meets at Northeast Elementary School before classes start, which the Owasso school district allows.

The lawsuit, however, claimed the district did not allow the club to promote its events with things like flyers or bulletin boards.

The district has changed its policy to allow Owasso Kids for Christ, specifically, to have all the other benefits of similar groups. Both sides have agreed to the change.
