TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma -- Northeastern State University wide receiver Trey McVay was named a Little All-American – comprised of Div. II, III and NAIA players – by the Associated Press Friday.

McVay set every career receiving record for the Riverhawks in his senior season with NSU, finishing the season with 82 receptions, 1,533 yards and 15 TDs in 11 games for the Riverhawks. Over his career at Northeastern State, McVay was on the receiving end of 195 passes for 3,016 yards and 34 touchdowns.

In the Riverhawks' homecoming game against Harding, McVay caught 16 passes for an NCAA record 425 yards and six scores.

He is the first NSU player to earn the award in nearly a decade, after lineman Micah Lomas claimed the award in 2002.
