TERLTON, Oklahoma -- People in Terlton whose homes burned to the ground last month got a little help from the Cleveland Chamber of Commerce Thursday.
The Chamber passed out $17,000 in checks to folks who lost their homes in the wildfires.

Many of them didn't have insurance, so Cleveland businesses raised the money to help get their neighbors back on their feet.
"It's a lot more than I ever expected… It's overwhelming," said Kenneth Steward, Fire Victim.
More than 35 homes were destroyed in the wildfire. Residents say the money should be a good first step toward getting their lives back to normal.
