EDMOND, Oklahoma – Edmond Santa Fe closed out a long week of baseball with a 15-10 victory over Norman North Saturday in the Edmond Classic Championship game at Edmond North High School.
The Wolves scored 10 runs in the top of the first inning and the Timberwolves responded with six runs and five hits the bottom of the first.Luke Jones and DJ Gasso delivered home runs in the inning for the Timberwolves. The two teams combined for 12 hits in the opening inning.
The Wolves led 13-10 entering the top of the third inning, and then good pitching silenced the bats in the third, fourth and fifth innings as each team failed to score.
Edmond Santa Fe tacked on one more run in the sixth and seventh innings, while Easton Mitchell pitched 4 1/3 scoreless innings to pick up the victory for the Wolves, he also struck out six.
