TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Tulsa man saves his family from a house fire early Thursday morning.
Firefighters arrived at the home near 3rd and Norwood just before 6 a.m. to find heavy smoke billowing out the house.
According to the homeowner, he woke to the smoke alarm and found a small fire coming from the floor furnace.
Fire officials say the homeowner was able to get his wife and 2 children out of the home safely.
There is extensive damage to the inside of the home.
Fire officials are still investigating the cause but believe it started from the furnace.
Red Cross was called to assist the family.
