News On 6 Anchor, Oklahoma Impact Team Honored

OKLAHOMA CITY -- News On Six anchor Jennifer Loren and the Oklahoma Impact team were recognized Tuesday for their in-depth reporting.

Oklahomans for Responsible Government honored Jennifer, along with Alex Cameron and Amy Lester with its "Taxpayer Advocate Award." The award is given to members of the media who stimulate accountability of government agencies.

"OFRG is committed to improving transparency in government and we want to highlight individuals and groups doing the same," said OFRG Executive Director Brian Downs. "Oklahoma taxpayers deserve to know how their money is being spent and thanks to the efforts of the Oklahoma Impact Team and The Oklahoman, that information is being made public."

Paul Monies, a Database Editor with The Oklahoman, was also honored.
