WELEETKA, OK -- Two more witnesses testified in court on Thursday about the fatal shootings of two Weleetka girls earlier this summer. It's all part of a Grand Jury proceeding at the Oklahoma County courthouse.

Three Weleetka men testified on Wednesday about their whereabouts during the shooting. Two others failed to appear in court. The judge ordered them arrested.

It isn't clear if Thursday's witnesses were the ones ordered to appear on Wednesday.

What is clear is that the grand jury is leaving Weleetka residents with more questions than answers.

The roadside vigil is clean, the flowers fresh. The murders of two girls gunned down are still in the hearts and in the minds of Weleetka residents.

"I get asked just about every other day. Do they know anything new or anything," said Country Roundup Waitress Lori Patrick.

The talk at the Country Roundup restaurant is still about the unsolved murders.

"I think somebody knows something around here," said Billy Spindle.

The town is buzzing with the news that halfway across the state; three local men had to testify before a grand jury. Two others didn't show up to court and that has raised a lot of eyebrows.

"If they don't show up for court, for a grand jury thing, something's haywire. I mean, they know they're going to get a warrant put out against them," said General Store Owner Harry St. Peter.

St. Peter says the three men are well-known.

"They'd come in occasionally and buy something. One of them went to school here. One of them is a local boy who's been here all his life," said St. Peter.

"It's as strong right now with the people here as the day it happened," said Don White.

White says he's not sure if he should still be on the lookout for the only person of interest in the case or if that's old news now.

"Everybody wants to know, well, when are they going to catch them? Who knows," said St. Peter.

Until an arrest is made, locals say the town will never be the same.

Two weeks ago, 15 gun-owners ignored an OSBI request to submit their guns for testing. Some residents say they think that's directly linked to this grand jury.

In the meantime, no one's been arrested in the murders and no one has ever been listed as a suspect.
