Woman Steals Police Car In South Tulsa

A woman in handcuffs took off in a Tulsa police cruiser on Friday night. The woman was arrested for reckless driving in Tulsa. Police say she appeared drunk.

She was handcuffed and put in the Tulsa squad car. While the officer was interviewing witnesses, she somehow slipped out of the cuffs and took off in the officer's car, driving into Bixby.

"He was almost run over by his own police car, so he did fire a couple of rounds at the police car as she was going past him," said TPD Sgt. Mark Watson.

She made it two miles before pulling over on her own. The suspect was taken into jail.
