DALLAS (AP) -- American Airlines is announcing plans to recall or hire up to 250 maintenance workers at its maintenance bases in Tulsa, Fort Worth and Kansas City. The airline says workers will also be added at smaller maintenance operations in it's system. American is the nation's largest carrier and says the additional workers are needed to address staffing needs for 2008 including increased workloads and to offset attrition.
The expansion will begin this month and continue through the first quarter of 2008.
