LEEDS, England (AP) _ Oklahoma State golfer Karin Kinnerud was eliminated Saturday during the third round of match play at the Ladies' British Open Amateur Championship in Leeds, England.

The junior-to-be at OSU fell 3-2 to fellow Swede Anna Nordqvist, a sophomore at Arizona State.

Kinnerud's round with Nordqvist was suspended at 7 o'clock Friday night due to lightning. The loss eliminated the last of three golfers with OSU ties from the tournament.

In other Cowgirl golf news, head coach Laura Matthews returned to Ontario following her elimination from the Ladies' British Open Amateur.

She will compete in the 2007 Copa de las Americas as a member of Team Canada. The tournament will be held June 18th through the 23rd at Beacon Hall Golf Club in Aurora, Ontario, Canada.
