OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Four Oklahoma energy companies remained on the Fortune 500 list of the nation's largest companies.
Tulsa-based ONEOK Inc. remained at the top of the Oklahoma list at 208, down 32 slots from 176 in 2006. Another Tulsa company, Williams Cos. Inc., dropped 31 spaces to 211, and Oklahoma City's Devon Energy Corp. fell 30 slots to 339.
Oklahoma City-based Chesapeake Energy Corp., which made the list for the first time last year at 451, jumped 126 slots to 325, boosted mostly by the company's expansion into Appalachia.
OGE Energy Corp. tumbled out of the top 500, falling to 523, down 165 slots from 358 last year.
Tulsa-based Dollar Thrifty Automotive remained in the Fortune 1000 list, improving three spots to 958.
