Three men are in the Oklahoma County Detention Center after a security company caught the men on surveillance and called police.
Investigators said they were caught trying to steal an ATM from a Bank of Oklahoma.
Oklahoma City police identified the men as 22-year-old Lenzie Jones, 31-year-old- Joshua Thompson, and 31-year-old Derrick Washington.
"Officers arrived at the ATM, and unfortunately, the suspects already left," said Sgt. Megan Morgan, with the Oklahoma City Police Department.
The men drove off in a white Ford before ditching the getaway truck for a new vehicle.
"Just up the street, they saw a vehicle driving rather quickly," said Morgan.
Police believed the suspects were in that car and tried to catch up with the group.
But they drove into a parking lot without an exit.
Police said the suspects ended up going the wrong way on Lake Hefner Parkway.
"Officers were able to deploy stop sticks, and because of this, the vehicle stopped," said Morgan.
One suspect was arrested right away, the other two took off running.
A police K-9 later found the pair.
They're now in jail facing several charges.
Investigators said they’ve seen an increase in crimes like this.
"Officers said there had been an influx of atm burglaries in the area. All three of those individuals are facing charges for second-degree burglary. The driver is facing charges for eluding," said Morgan.
Police said they do not know if the three suspects are tied to other ATM break-ins.
