Gov. Kevin Stitt, the state commissioner of health and hospital executives updated Oklahomans on COVID-19 hospital capacity and the revised surge plan Tuesday afternoon.
The news conference was scheduled to happen at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Oklahoma City.
This announcement came after a record day of hospitalizations in the state.
According to the executive order report released Monday evening, 821 Oklahomans are currently hospitalized due to the virus and only 124 of the 943 ICU beds are still available.
Joining Stitt at the news conference was state Commissioner of Health Dr. Lance Frye, OSDH surge plan advisor Matt Stacy, Oklahoma Hospital Association President Patti Davis and Mercy Hospital CEO Jim Gebhart.
