Veteran Salute: Thomas Mercado

News On 6 is continuing to recognize veterans across Green Country who are making a difference in their communities.

Today, we honor Thomas Mercado.

Thomas served in the Navy for 9 years.

He currently works as a nurse at the VA.

Thomas is part of the Sand Springs Group "Vets that Matter" and colors his beard for a new cause every month.

We're told he goes out of his way to help people every day.
