Obanor‘s Buzzer Beater Advances ORU To Conference Championship

The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles clinch a spot in the Summit League conference championship in dramatic fashion.

With 9 seconds left in the game and the score tied at 88, ORU takes the ball down the court.  Abmas puts up a long two that just bounces off the rim, but Obanor is there to tip it in at the buzzer.

ORU beats Summit’s first-seeded South Dakota State, 90-88.

The Golden Eagles looked sharp with an 11-point win over North Dakota in the semifinals last night.

Deshang Weaver was lights out again in the first half, putting up 12 points for the night. With Abmas with 18 points and 10 assists, Thompson with 22 points, there were six total ORU players in double figures.

The Golden Eagles will play for a shot at the conference championship Tuesday night.
