A federal jury found a Glenpool man guilty of sexually exploiting a 16-year-old girl. They say he met her online, gave her marijuana, zip tied her hands and took sexually explicit photos of her.

The US attorney said there are two heroes in this case - an alert Jenks police officer and the victim who testified.

The officer spotted 54-year-old Thomas Pearce in a truck acting suspiciously in February of 2021. The officer pulled him over and saw the girl in the passenger seat.

When the girl told Pearce she didn't want to see him again, he threatened to hurt her siblings, according to investigators.

Police also found photos of another girl, who is a woman now. She said she was in high school when she met Pearce online.
