An Olympic gold medalist is being recognized for her outstanding life achievements.

Madeline Manning Mims is a former Olympian who holds both Olympic and world records and was the first American woman to break the two-minute barrier in the 800 meter.

Mims has received many accolades in her life, and the most recent is her induction into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame.

Mims joined the News On 6 team on Friday morning to discuss the honor.
