On Tuesday night a grieving baseball team gathered on the field, leaning on one another after unspeakable tragedy.

Their teammate was one of five people killed Monday.

Friends, teammates, and coaches said the Candy family, all six members were a light. And despite Monday's tragedy they’re choosing to remember them by the way they lived and not how they died.

Monday morning at the Candy household, officers found the bodies of gunman Jonathon Candy, his wife Lindsay and their sons Dylan, Ethan and Lucas throughout the home.

News of their deaths sent shockwaves, “I hugged every one of these kids yesterday,” said coach TJ Armstrong.

Ethan’s teammates gathered on the field Tuesday night in prayer.

Returning to honor Ethan's commitment to the sport and his team.

Little league coach Armstrong says Ethan and his family were beloved by the community, “They were a beautiful family,” Armstrong said.

Armstrong says they’ll continue to remember and honor them, as they rally around the Candy’s surviving son.

Ethan’s friends tell News 9 they will follow his lead, remembering to be kind, positive, and encouraging.
