OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma State is having a football season to remember and T. Boone Pickens is more than happy to talk about it. Pickens was in downtown Oklahoma City Tuesday for the Creativity World Forum at the Cox Convention Center.
“You never hit a homerun unless you get up to bat and we are up to bat right now,” Pickens said.
He would settle for a grand slam, victories over Kansas and Oklahoma will do in his mind. If Oklahoma State wins both, they would advance to the Big 12 Title Game for the very first time.
“We’ve got a chance to make it an unbelievable season,” Pickens added.
Pickens made the trip to Austin to see Oklahoma State win at Texas for the first time since 1944, but will stay home to watch the Kansas game this Saturday.
Quail hunting season starts Saturday. Pickens says hunting is out though, the guns will stay in the rack and his attention will be on his big screen watching the Cowboys-Jayhawks game.
