Cause Of Sand Springs House Fire Remains Under Investigation

The Red Cross is assisting a Sand Springs family of five after a fire at their home Tuesday afternoon and early Wednesday morning.

Sand Springs Fire says the home in the 500 block of North Franklin caught fire around 5 p.m. and then apparently rekindled at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The second fire spread to the house next door causing some minor damage to the siding.

The residents of that home were able to stay in their home.

Firefighters are now looking into what started the initial fire. No one was injured.
