Police Identify Victim In Shooting At West Tulsa Apartment Complex

Tulsa Police are investigating a shooting in west Tulsa that sent one man to the hospital late Monday night.

They identified the shooting victim as 23-year-old Jermaine Jackson. His injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. at the Western Pines Apartments, located at 700 West 25th Street.

Tulsa Police say the Jackson was shot in the torso and transported by EMSA to the hospital in serious condition.

Witnesses told police they heard a single gun shot and saw a red late model Mustang speed away immediately after the shooting.

Police later caught up with a Mustang fitting the description at 15th and Lewis.

Officer Leland Ashley said the three people in the red Mustang were all arrested for outstanding warrants but did not appear to have ties to the shooting. They were apparently fleeing the scene after hearing the shots.
