One person was injured when a Chevy Avalanche went airborne from a Tulsa highway.

The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle on a curve where the Creek Turnpike merges with U.S. Highway 169 near Mingo in southeast Tulsa.

The Chevy left the highway, going through a grassy culvert before going airborne. The truck rolled and came to rest near the Memorial off ramp.

It happened shortly after 12 p.m.

EMSA medics treated a 23-year-old Tulsa man at the scene. He was taken to a local hospital in fair condition.
