A stretch of South Yale in Tulsa will be reduced to one lane in each direction starting Wednesday.
The City of Tulsa says the $4.7 million street rehabilitation project runs from 27th Street to 32nd Street.
Officials say because of the Tulsa State Fair and the 2013 holiday shopping season, construction work will come to a temporary halt in September and resume in January 2014.
The work is scheduled to be completed by late July 2014.
The City says funding for the project came from the 2008 Third Penny Sales Tax.
And another street rehabilitation project on East 81st between Yale and Sheridan also gets underway Wednesday.
The City says one lane in each direction will remain open during the length of the $1.1 million project. Work is expected to be finished by September.
The City says the funding for the project came from a 2008 General Obligation Bond Issue.
