Police: Shotgun Blast Injures Two Outside Tulsa Apartment Complex
TULSA, Oklahoma - Two men are in a Tulsa hospital following a shooting early Wednesday outside the Sandy Park apartments.
Tulsa Police got the call at about 1:15 a.m.
Officers say the men were visiting a relative at the apartments in the 6300 block of West 11th Place when another man approached them in the parking lot.
They told police the man pointed a shotgun at them and demanded money. Police say as the driver grabbed the barrel of the shotgun; it discharged hitting the driver and his passenger in the arms and chest.
The two victims then drove to a home on North 44th West Avenue and called 911. EMSA took both to the hospital.
Police say they are expected to be okay.
An investigation into the shooting continues.
