Verdigris Teacher Found Not Guilty Of Assault On Students
CLAREMORE, Oklahoma - A Verdigris teacher has been found not guilty of assaulting nine of her elementary school students.
April Cohenour was on trial accused of grabbing students by the neck, shoulders and head.
Some students claimed they were pushed into cabinets and furniture.
Cohenour taught art at the Lower Elementary School in Verdigris.
She's been a teacher for 21 years.
She was placed on administrative leave last month, after police said several of her students went home with marks on their bodies.
