Bicycle Rider Killed By Car In Miami

Miami Police say a bicycle rider from Tahlequah died Monday after being hit by a car.

Police say the incident happened on Monday, November 23, 2015 at about 5:55 p.m.

They say 40-year-old Andy Whitener of Tahlequah was riding a bicycle southbound on Highway 69A when he was hit about a half mile north of East 80 Road.

According to a news release, Normal Ezell of Wagoner was driving the vehicle that hit Whitener. Whitener was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Miami Police Department say they're investigating to determine the cause of the collision.  They say this is the second fatality at this location in four months.
