WASHINGTON COUNTY, Oklahoma - The Washington County Sheriff's Office identified a body found east of Bartlesville Thursday evening as 21-year-old Kyler Holeman.

Deputies say his death was suspicious. They said Holeman's body was found near the intersection of East Adams Boulevard and North 4000 Road.

Washington County Undersheriff Steve Johnson said the office received a call saying there was a body on side of the road. Since the body was found at a rural location with little traffic, deputies said it's not clear how long Holeman's body had been there.

Johnson said the case is tragic, which is why it's so important for investigators to stay focused.

"You think about the victim, you think about the victim's family. There's a lot of things that goes through your mind but you gotta stay on track and get the evidence collected and do our job," Steve Johnson said.

Deputies ask anyone with information to contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 918-337-2800.
