Wreck Closes Southbound 169 In Owasso
OWASSO, Oklahoma - A woman was badly hurt in a wreck on Highway 169 in Owasso.
The wreck happened near 76th Street North around 2:30 p.m.
Deputy Chief of Police Jason Woodruff said officers closed southbound 169 and all southbound traffic was being diverted onto 86th Street North.
The crash involved three vehicles. Police said an Escalade and a car were headed south when the drivers started slowing down because of the Bird Creek bridge construction project. According to police, a pickup truck then hit the car and the Escalade.
The woman driving the car was in critical condition when paramedics took her to a hospital. Police said she was alert and talking to rescuers.
They haven't released the conditions of the other two drivers.
Police reopened the southbound lanes just before 4 p.m.
