TULSA, Oklahoma - Police said a man escaped serious injury when his car hit a midtown Tulsa tree early Friday.

Officers said the driver was headed south on Peoria when he said another vehicle pulled out in front of him near 21st Street South.

That caused him to swerve, crossing the northbound lanes and hitting a tree.

Police said the driver was wearing his seat belt and was taken by EMSA to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
