TULSA, Oklahoma - The Tulsa Health Department is hosting a forum this afternoon to help people learn about the state's new alcohol laws that'll go into effect on October 1st.

There are a lot of new rules soon to be on the books, so the Tulsa Health Department says they want to help people understand how the law will work.

The new law allows grocery and convenience stores to sell wine and strong beer.

The Tulsa Health Department says liquor stores are the only retailer allowed to sell spirits along with beer higher than 8.9 percent and wine higher than 15 percent.

Also under the new law, you will be able to buy alcohol in grocery and convenience stores from 6 a.m. until 2 a.m. every day and liquor stores will be able to stay open until midnight every day but Sunday.

Liquor stores currently have to close at 9 p.m.

Today's forum is set for 2 p.m. at OU-Tulsa located at 4502 East 41st Street.
