BA Man Arrested, Accused Of Strangling Girlfriend
BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma - A Broken Arrow man could face a domestic assault and battery charge after police say he tried to strangle his girlfriend during a fight in late December.
According to 33-year-old Rylan Manwell's arrest report, his girlfriend told police the two got into an argument at her Broken Arrow residence on Saturday, December 29th.
Officers say the girlfriend left and when she came back, her TV was broken and there was a hole in the sheet rock in her room.
She told police that she left Manwell in the living room and went to her bedroom.
In the report, the victim says she was awaken by Manwell pulling her from the bed and shoving her across the room.
Police say Manwell then climbed on top of her and squeezed her by the throat.
After breaking free, the victim called 911.
Police booked Rylan Manwell into the Tulsa County jail. Jail records show he has a court appearance set for January 7th.
