I-44 Widening Project Starts

ODOT will start the final segment of widening I-44 between the east 244 split and 193rd East Avenue on Monday.

The project will widen the interstate from four lanes to eight lanes and improve interchanges.

Two lanes are expected to stay open during the work.

The project should wrap up by the end of next summer.
