Amnesty is being offered to anyone with an arrest warrant in the City of Muskogee or Muskogee County.
The purpose of amnesty day is to help anyone with an arrest warrant by removing them and re-establishing a payment plan for outstanding fees.
“The goal is to assist lower income persons in escaping from the cycle of reoffending or violating probation due to financial conditions,” a release says.
Amnesty Day takes place Tuesday, October 16, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Wednesday, October 17, 2018, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center at 300 West MLK Street in Muskogee.
If you have any questions, you can call 918-683-4600 and speak with the Indigent Criminal Defense Department.
